General Pricing Info:

Every delivery is priced individually. No two boats, routes, or timelines are the same, and your pricing reflects the specific requirements of your vessel and voyage.

Our pricing is transparent, straightforward, and designed to protect both your boat and your budget—without surprises.

What Your Price Covers

Every delivery quote includes professional services that ensure your vessel is operated safely, efficiently, and responsibly:

  • Licensed professional captain

  • Voyage planning

  • Weather routing

  • Pre-departure vessel inspection and systems check

  • Daily operation and safe navigation of your vessel

  • Regular position and status updates during transit

  • Post-delivery handover and condition report

Crew selection, routing, and pace are always matched to your boat, weather, and logistics.

How Pricing Is Structured

Delivery pricing is broken down into three parts based on time and materials. With the typical

1. Captain’s Day Rate

This covers professional operation of your vessel and includes:

  • Command and responsibility of the vessel

  • Navigation, seamanship, and risk management

  • Voyage planning and execution

2. Crew (If Required)

Some deliveries require additional crew for safety, compliance, or vessel complexity.

  • Crew rates are quoted per person, per day

  • Crew selection is based on experience and suitability for your vessel

  • Training deliveries with owner onboard may reduce crew requirements when appropriate

3. Travel & Logistics

These costs cover positioning the crew to and from your vessel:

  • Commercial flights or ground transportation

  • Reasonable lodging when required

  • Provisioning during the delivery

All logistics are planned efficiently to control costs. Standard per diem rates can be used if requested.

Expenses & Reimbursable Costs

Certain voyage-related expenses are paid by the vessel owner, either directly or reimbursed at cost.

  • Fuel

  • Dockage, mooring, or marina fees

  • Canal, lock, or customs fees

  • Provisions and onboard supplies

  • Communication or tracking services if requested

No markup is applied to reimbursable expenses. Receipts are provided upon request.

What Is Not Included In Pricing

  • Mechanical repairs, parts, or spares required for the delivery

  • Major maintenance or yard work that may arise

  • Vessel modifications or required upgrades

  • Unexpected delays caused by weather, mechanical issues, or regulatory clearance

If additional services are needed, they are discussed and approved before proceeding.

Fixed Quotes vs. Estimates

  • Short, well-defined trips may be offered as a fixed-price delivery

  • Longer or offshore passages are typically quoted as estimates due to weather and routing variables

You will always receive a clear explanation of how your quote is structured.

  • A Deposit of 25% is required no less than 5 days before departure

  • 25% payment is required halfway through the trip

  • Multi-week deliveries may require additional payment during trip

Pricing Details:

Here is a breakdown of the typical costs associated with a delivery. This is just a quick way to get a ballpark figure for your planning purposes. For a more thorough delivery quote you can submit a request and we’ll be happy to provide an estimate.

Wages

We believe the Day Rate is a simple and fair way to charge for Captain and Crew services. A day of work is up to 12 hours and we strive to maximize each day . For excessively long days that exceed 12 hours of work an additional fee of $50/hr for captain and $20/hr for crew will be applied. Travel only days are billed at 5O%. Days where Captain and Crew are aboard but travel is delayed due to mechanical issues or weather will be billed at the full day rate.

  • Captain Day Rate: $800/Day

  • Crew Day Rate: $300/Day

Food, Provisions, Accommodation

We typically bill for what we use and almost always come in below the published Per Diem rates. Food is typically a fridge stocked with the essentials, breakfast and lunch. Dinners ashore are nice to have on occasion but are always done with a budget in mind. Provisions include anything necessary to the living or comfort of the Captain and Crew. Toilet paper, cutting board and knife, coffee, etc. Simple items that may need to be purchased for use onboard. Shoreside accommodation only applies if staying onboard is not an option. For most deliveries the Captain and Crew will sleep onboard the boat, if that is not possible then reasonable shoreside accommodation will be needed.

  • Food: ~ $40 – $60/Day per person

  • Provisions: Needed essentials will vary

  • Shoreside Accommodation: ~$200/night. Rates vary by region

Transportation

Transportation to and from the location of the vessel is included here. Ground transportation may also include trips to and from stores for needed supplies. These costs can vary widely from delivery to delivery but we take care to keep the expense to a minimum.

  • Flights~$250-$350/each way per person

  • Ground transportation~$20-$60/each way per person

Additional Expenses

The following expenses are not considered part of our quote but will arise nonetheless and you should be prepared for them. Additional expenses include fuel, supplies and dockage/permits that would need to be purchased regardless of who was running the vessel. In other words, delivery or not, these are going to need to be paid for and we won’t be able to accurately include them in the quote. Boat supplies are items needed for the boat. Example of boat supplies would be engine spares: extra oil, filters, etc. Cleaning supplies, more fenders if the trip includes transiting a seaway or canal.

  • Fuel: Varies by vessel

  • Slip fees/permits: Varies by region

  • Boat supplies: Varies by trip

The Unexpected

The last thing to consider when budgeting for a delivery is, like any boat trip, to expect the unexpected. We’ll always do our best to plan accordingly and prepare for every situation. Weather, mechanical issues, seaway closures can all occur with little warning. The following are just a few examples of unexpected expenses that can occur on a delivery.

  • Weather hold: Full day rate

  • Engineering / Mechanical work: Full day rate

  • Seaway delay / closure: Full day rate
